Where the locals can’t help but make you feel welcome - Periana is located one hour from Malaga airport, set in stunning mountain scenery, off the beaten track, yet only thrity minutes from the beaches of the Costa Del Sol & forty minutes from the tourist town of Nerja. The village has a population of 2000. There are supermarkets and bars as well as many other retail trades for all your needs. Periana offers an ideal base for walking, cycling, sightseeing, touring or just chilling out. .........................................................

The map above shows where Periana is located. Take the costal route east half an hour towards Torre del Mar (your un-crowded local beach), and then go half an hour north to Periana on excellent roads enjoying the wonderful scenery. Periana is located above the turquoise waters of Lake Viñuela. The area remains rural with exceptional walking & wildlife and the lake attracts fisherman & tourists alike.

The house is bright and airy or can be cool and shady with the shutters closed.The floors are marble and tile The whole house is typically Spanish in a late 60's style. Very quaint.The house recently has been rewired, new furniture added and also new kitchen appliances. Towels and bedlinen are supplied. There is also utility room on the top floor, with new washing machine. The roof terrace, with the best panoramic views, has sun loungers, table, chairs & parasol where you can watch the sun set in the mountains!
